Building upon this foundational understanding of sustainable development and CSR, students progress to their second year, where they undertake the Vatel Sustainable Development Project (VSDP). This project-based course allows students to put into practice the principles of sustainable development and CSR while serving a corporate project within the hospitality sector.
During the course, students work in groups to propose solutions around sustainable development and CSR for a hospitality-sector organization. The course is divided into three stages: project launch, support and guidance, and project presentation and validation. Throughout these stages, students receive remote coaching and guidance from faculty members, culminating in a final oral defense where they present their project to a representative of the project-hosting organization.
Through the Vatel Sustainable Development Project, students not only gain hands-on experience in implementing sustainable practices but also develop critical skills in project management, teamwork, and presentation.
